As 2025 is about to come to an end, Google search data provides an interesting signal — global interest in "cryptocurrency" is continuing to decline.
According to the Google Trends index (0-100 scale), this Monday the global "crypto" search index was only 26, just two points above the historical low of 24. Even more concerning is that the US market has already fallen below last year's levels, hitting a new annual low.
What does this reflect? Simply put, retail investors' attention is clearly waning. Search popularity often reflects the true sentiment of market participants — when everyone isn't searching for "crypto" much, it usually indicates that market enthusiasm is indeed cooling down. At this point, it's more important to observe what institutions and leading players are doing.

Wow, the search popularity has reached 26? Retail investors have all left. Now is the time to see who is quietly accumulating.

Search popularity has dropped to 26, retail investors are indeed fleeing. But isn't this a good opportunity for institutions to accumulate chips? The real players have long since gone silent.

ngl, the search index hitting 26 is giving major "everyone's already made their bags or rage quit" energy... technically speaking, when retail stops googling, that's when the real moves happen in backrooms. learned this the hard way in 2018 lmao

Search popularity has decreased, but are institutions accumulating? This is interesting—when retail investors sell, it's often the big players taking the chips.
