Recently, someone in the circle said, "Foreigners are on holiday and not trading, this is our golden window to bottom out." I immediately thought—buddy, this isn't bottoming out, it's clearly jumping into a liquidity trap.

Let me first explain the basic logic for beginners. In the global crypto trading market, over 60% of trading volume comes from Europe, America, and Oceania. Once traders in these regions take a large-scale holiday, the entire market shifts from a "river and sea" to a "shallow beach." The "cheap chips" in your eyes might actually be hot potatoes with no one willing to take over; what you see as a "perfect bottom," could quickly turn into a bottomless pit with deep losses.

During the Christmas holiday, beginners are most likely to fall into three traps, which are all lessons learned the hard way:

**First trap: Investing heavy funds into small-cap coins.** Niche coins already have tight liquidity, and with major funds absent during the holiday, you're likely to encounter cold reception when trying to sell—either your orders go unnoticed or you hit the limit-down and can't sell.

**Second trap: Chasing after abnormal price surges or drops.** Some funds exploit the weak liquidity during holidays to create false market movements to lure beginners in. Once you chase in, they immediately reverse and dump, trapping you at the top.

**Third trap: Being careless and not setting stop-losses.** During holidays, volatility is low, so many people relax their guard and neglect to set take-profit and stop-loss orders. But this "micro-volatility" can reverse suddenly, and due to lack of liquidity support, losses can escalate instantly.

In fact, for experienced traders, holidays are more of an "adjustment period." Instead of recklessly trading during the off-season, it's better to review the year's strategies and prepare for the next market cycle.

Wow, that's why I completely cleared out my holdings last Christmas holiday. No one was taking orders for those small coins, and I was so scared that I had to run away.

Really heartbreaking, I was trapped in a small coin last Christmas and couldn't sell it at all.

Another little brother caught in a liquidity trap, can't you just stay quietly during the holidays?

Damn, another one caught in the liquidity trap. Still daring to invest heavily in small coins during the holiday? Are you looking for death? Got it, mainly because there are fewer people, and the market becomes chaotic, making it impossible to handle orders properly. This wave is indeed easy to get cut, my friend bought the bottom on Christmas and is still crying. People who still think about bottom-fishing during the holiday probably haven't suffered losses before. Instead of messing around, it's better to rest well. Next year is the main stage. These three traps are summarized perfectly, especially the one without stop-loss. Too many people fall for this. Basically, playing with fire when liquidity is poor, no wonder you're trapped. After reading this, beginners should be able to avoid many pitfalls.

Haha, it's the same old story. Every day buying the dip, but ending up buying halfway up the mountain. Truly impressive.
