The phrase "Optional Privacy" should be thrown into the trash. True privacy protection must start at the protocol layer and cannot be just an optional feature. Think about it—if privacy only takes effect when users actively enable it, then it is essentially meaningless.

Some privacy-focused blockchains are already on the right track—the entire chain is designed with this goal in mind. This is the correct architectural approach.

And the application of Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZK proofs) opens up new possibilities. You can verify the authenticity of information without revealing the specific data. This technological solution will become the standard for privacy protection in the future, rather than a high-end option. Once this system is truly widespread, the entire industry's privacy standards will see a qualitative breakthrough.

Protocol layer privacy is truly infrastructure; those optional privacy solutions should have been phased out long ago. ZK (Zero-Knowledge) technology is indeed the future direction, but right now it's a bit overhyped... we need to wait until it is practically implemented. The idea of designing the entire chain for privacy is good, but can the costs be accepted? That's the question. Optional privacy is just self-deception by the party in charge; users simply won't proactively enable it... it becomes a mere formality.

Optional privacy is just a joke; who would really flip that switch? Privacy should be default. Starting from the fundamentals is the real strength. Once the ZK system is fully implemented, the days of those who rely on selling data will be over, and that’s exactly what I want.

Well said. "Optional Privacy" is just a joke; it's basically a shield for the big boss. The ZK technology really needs to be popularized. Currently, only a few projects are using it. Privacy will only be truly meaningful once it becomes standard. Enforcing privacy at the protocol layer is the right approach. Chains that default to transparency should have already reflected on this.

That's so true. "Optional privacy" is just a joke; there's no difference from having none. ZK is the right path; it will eventually become standard.

That's right, optional privacy is just a joke; it can't really prevent anything. ZK technology is indeed excellent, but the ecosystem is still too small. Let's wait until it becomes truly popular. I agree with the idea of designing the entire chain for privacy, but will ordinary users accept it? Privacy at the protocol layer should have been standard long ago. Don't wait any longer.
