One of the most correct decisions I have made in my career is to give up using the main index to judge whether a certain coin or sector is healthy. Following the main index in the long run can easily cause you to miss real opportunities. The true turning point came when I learned to listen to the individual stocks' own voices—what the candlestick charts are telling, what signals the trading volume is releasing, and how institutions are positioning themselves. When you stop obsessing over index fluctuations and start analyzing the technical and fundamental aspects of specific assets, the market becomes much clearer. Especially in the crypto market, individual coins (tokens) can diverge dramatically; within the same sector, some are making crazy profits while others are trapped in dead ends. That’s why I now focus more on discovering high-quality individual stocks—indices are just a reference, and the real excess returns come from a deep understanding of single assets.
