Another governance experiment bites the dust. Futarchy sounds great in theory—let the market decide—but when projects fail to deliver on the promise, everyone learns a hard lesson. Here's the real catch: you think you control your digital assets and intellectual property in Web3, but the reality is far messier. Smart contracts can be paused, governance can be captured, and ownership isn't always what it seems on the blockchain. The decentralization dream requires actual execution, not just clever tokenomics.

ngl, seen this movie before. futarchy looked clean on the whitepaper, but once you hit the difficulty adjustment on governance... yeah, things get messy real fast. smart contracts aren't immutable if someone holds the kill switch lol

It's another futuristic illusion shattered; they really took futarchy as a silver bullet.

Another governance experiment has failed. The promise was to let the market decide.

Futarchy went bankrupt, which is 🤦. I told you, what does the market decide? In the end, it's just a few whales calling the shots.
