The true test of DeFi is not in the smart contract code itself. Today's DeFi ecosystem requires three things: performance, cross-protocol coordination, and enough flexibility to handle different scenarios. That is why the infrastructure layer is so critical.

When a DeFi protocol truly begins to grow, the underlying system must scale in sync — performance cannot become a bottleneck. This is not just an optimization issue, but a rethinking of DeFi architecture from a full-stack perspective. Performance bottlenecks will kill user experience, insufficient coordination will fragment ecosystem liquidity, and lack of flexibility will prevent adaptation to market changes. All three are indispensable.

That's right, infrastructure is really underestimated. Everyone is focused on yield, but they forget that without performance, everything is pointless.

Infrastructure is the key, absolutely right. Performance issues make everything else pointless.

That's correct, but the real bottleneck is still the cross-chain bridging part, which is currently extremely fragmented.

At the end of the day, if the infrastructure isn't solid, there's no point in boasting about protocol innovation.

Infrastructure is the real bottleneck; no matter how good the contract is written, it's useless.
