In the Web3 ecosystem, the trustworthiness of data determines the stability of the entire financial system. Decentralized oracles are playing an increasingly important role—they act like the neural center of the ecosystem, connecting on-chain and off-chain information.

Take DeFi lending as an example. Smart contracts require real-time asset price data to calculate collateral value and liquidation risk. If the data encounters issues, the entire lending protocol could face risks. Oracles address this pain point by collecting, verifying, and ultimately feeding data to on-chain applications in a decentralized manner, ensuring data source diversity and resistance to manipulation.

Scenes like NFT pricing and derivatives trading also rely heavily on reliable data support. A good oracle solution can provide a stable information foundation for these applications, which is why more and more Web3 developers are seeking trustworthy oracle infrastructure.

As the ecosystem's application scenarios continue to expand—from simple price inputs to more complex on-chain data needs—the opportunities in the oracle sector are also constantly emerging. Projects that can truly solve developers' problems with oracles have long-term value potential worth looking forward to.

Good morning, at 3 a.m. I was thinking again, if the oracle breaks, who will die first? It’s definitely those leverage traders in the lending pool. Before a sandwich attack happens, they need to starve first.

The vectors of oracle manipulation are more than you think. Single points of failure, relay hacker attacks, oracle front-running... Just pull up a flash loan incident from Curve and replicate it, and half of the projects would have their audit reports rejected.

Oracles, to put it simply, are information intermediaries, but there aren't many truly reliable ones... Chainlink's dominance is for a reason. If one data source has an issue, the entire system could be compromised, and the risk is indeed significant.

Oracles are indeed a bottleneck, but to be honest, on-chain data is still a bit uncertain.

Oracles are essentially data transporters; the key is whose data is the hardest to manipulate... But with so many oracle projects now, how many are truly reliable?

The oracle indeed got stuck, but honestly, this track is a bit crowded now, and there aren't many truly reliable ones.
