How much lower can we realistically expect SOL to drop? From $300 to $122 currently—but is that even a floor worth discussing?

People often point to $8 as the ultimate capitulation level, yet that was tied to specific catastrophic events: the FTX collapse and the subsequent ecosystem meltdown combined with a severe bear market across all asset classes.

The environment now is fundamentally different. Traditional markets are hitting all-time highs—equities, commodities, precious metals all rallying. Institutional players have entered the space. Regulatory clarity is improving, and cultural acceptance of crypto has shifted dramatically.

Without the systemic fraud and economy-wide crash that triggered that $8 bottom, comparing current pullbacks to that scenario is comparing apples to crisis-level oranges. That's the real distinction worth considering.

ngl, this logic doesn't quite hold up... Does a high point in traditional markets mean crypto won't fall? History always repeats itself, bro.

To be honest, that $8 incident was when FTX collapsed the entire ecosystem. Now traditional finance is reaching new highs... It's completely incomparable; the environment has changed.

NGL, that wave at $8 was really hellish. The current conditions are not that bad at all... The traditional market is still pushing for new highs.

Back when $8 was around, I was truly desperate, but now it's completely incomparable...

Ngl, that $8 part was purely scare tactics. The current environment is completely different now, with institutions entering the market and policies moving towards positive developments. This time, we can't see a collapse on the level of an apocalypse.

To be honest, that wave of $8 was purely hell mode. Can the bloodbath at FTX be repeated? I really don't believe it. Now institutions are entering the market, and traditional markets are also excited—completely two different things.

Nah, this logic doesn't hold up either. Just because traditional markets are at high levels doesn't mean cryptocurrencies are safe... How many times have we heard the institutions' arguments about entering the market? In the end, isn't it just a macro-driven crash again? The $8 event was an extreme case, no doubt, but who can guarantee it won't happen again?
