Recently, I have experienced two waves of market movements on a certain cryptocurrency, but to be honest, I make money every time I go long. Once I think about shorting, I tend to get caught in reversals. Looking at Buffett and Duan Yongping’s investment philosophies, they both mention rarely shorting, and the logic behind this is quite profound. When the market has no clear direction and trading volume is insufficient, instead of forcing opportunities to trade, it’s better to recharge, read some books, and organize your thoughts. Sometimes, the best trading decision is actually to choose not to trade.

My current idea is to focus on going long, follow the trend rather than oppose it. Participate when the market is hot, and take a break when everything is uncertain. This way, I can avoid many pitfalls and live a longer-term trading life.
