Why bother with cross-chain bridging? Interacting directly with Runes and BRC-20 on Bitcoin L1 is the right way.

Instead of going around in circles with wrapped tokens or sidechains, it's better to achieve three-way exchanges at the base layer. A single transaction completes the process, no intermediaries needed, no extra steps—this is the power of native interoperability.

Once Bitcoin's base layer supports atomic composability, the liquidity landscape of the entire ecosystem will change. Asset movement across standards will shift from a technical challenge to a standard feature. This is what L1 should be doing.

You're right, direct interaction with BTC L1 is the way to go. Don't bother with those fancy bridges.

That's what they say, but can Bitcoin transaction fees hold up? Every transaction needs to go on L1, it can't be crazy.

Bro, there's nothing wrong with that statement, but can Bitcoin really be transformed like this? It still feels too idealistic.

That's right, it should have been like this earlier. Cross-chain bridging is too cumbersome.

That’s true, but can the Bitcoin ecosystem really be realized? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Wait, can Bitcoin L1 really handle such a large amount of asset flows? That's probably just wishful thinking.
