Last April, Tether made a strategic investment of $200 million in Blackrock Neurotech, becoming the majority shareholder of the company.
Blackrock Neurotech was founded in 2008 at the University of Utah by scientist and brain-computer interface pioneer Dr. Florian Solzbacher and Marcus Gerhardt. Its technology allows patients to operate robotic arms, control wheelchairs, send messages, browse the internet, and even drive cars, all through the power of thought.
