Recently, Long Fan, the founder of the Shutu Blockchain project and the director of the Shanghai Shutu Blockchain Research Institute, shared a poignant investment experience during an exclusive interview with Xinmin Weekly. According to Long Fan's recollection, while pursuing his PhD at MIT, he invested $1,000 to purchase 100 Bitcoins. Unfortunately, he sold all of them when the price reached $50 per Bitcoin, failing to hold on. Now, with Bitcoin's price having surpassed $100,000, Long Fan's early decision appears particularly regrettable. In the interview, Long Fan admitted that to this day, his Bitcoin holdings have not reached the 100 coins he had back then. This experience also reflects the enormous price volatility of the crypto assets market and the potential value of a long-term holding strategy.
