E-commerce platform Shopify collaborates with CEX and Stripe to promote USDC stablecoin payments.
On June 13, The Block reported that the e-commerce platform Shopify announced a partnership with CEX and Stripe to support merchants in accepting payments in USDC stablecoins issued by Circle. Through this service, consumers can use USDC on the Base chain to make payments in 34 countries, and merchants can choose to receive funds in local fiat and directly deposit them into their bank accounts. Shopify’s COO stated that this partnership will help merchants easily meet the global demand for stablecoin payments without having to build their own encryption payment infrastructure. CEX also launched a “Commercial Payment Protocol” in collaboration with Shopify, aimed at addressing the application bottlenecks of Crypto Assets in commercial payment scenarios.
