The founder of a certain trading platform, Huang Tianwei, was arrested in Thailand, possibly in connection with the platform's collapse incident.
On June 12, according to a disclosure by former member of a certain trading platform Deng Chaohua, the platform’s founder Huang Tianwei has been arrested at the police station in the Mae Sai district of Chiang Rai, Thailand.
According to previous reports, on July 14, 2022, a certain cryptocurrency platform experienced a crisis, shutting down the withdrawal function, citing short-term liquidity issues that prevented it from meeting users’ withdrawal demands.
On July 17, 2022, the platform officially announced that “In accordance with the requirements of the Guangxi police, the relevant services of the platform will be suspended at 15:32 (UTC+8) on July 17, 2022, to fully cooperate with the police investigation. Please wait for the police announcement afterward.”
