On ETH/BTC Pair and 2024 Performance
When I look at the ETH/BTC pair this year, I observe that Ethereum has been quite weak against Bitcoin. Market data also supports this situation.
Especially when compared to Bitcoin's strong performance during this period, I think Ethereum's momentum has lagged a bit.
My general thoughts are that the altcoin season has not yet fully started. If a truly large-scale altcoin rally begins in the market, Ethereum is historically expected to perform very strongly during this process. Ethereum usually serves as an indicator for the general health and direction of the altcoin market. In an environment where altcoins are on the rise, most investors tend to first direct the profits they make from Bitcoin to Ethereum and then to smaller-volume altcoins.
As I mentioned, this situation will be an important catalyst for the ETH/BTC pair to move upwards if an altcoin bull occurs. In other words, Ethereum is likely to gain value against Bitcoin.
