According to a report by Decrypt on April 28, Deep Tide TechFlow announced that Swiss supermarket chain Spar plans to promote Bitcoin payment services nationwide. The project is supported by the encryption payment company DFX Swiss and has currently completed a pilot in two stores located in Zug and Kreuzlingen.
Customers can complete payments at the checkout by scanning the QR code using DFX Swiss's OpenCryptoPay platform via the Lightning Network. According to data from the Bitcoin merchant directory website BTC Map, there are currently over 600 merchants in Switzerland that accept Bitcoin payments.
