He also revealed that he has set a deadline regarding the Russia-Ukraine issue, and that after the deadline, the U.S. attitude will change. However, Russian presidential spokesman Peskov stated on the 23rd that Trump never specified any date, and the Russian side believes that setting a deadline for a ceasefire in Ukraine is inappropriate. When discussing attitudes towards Russia, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Russia’s attack on Kyiv. When asked about imposing sanctions on Russia, Trump stated that he “would rather answer this question in a week,” but if an agreement to end the conflict cannot be reached, “things will happen,” emphasizing that the U.S. will do its utmost to cooperate with Ukraine.
