Lido Community Staking Module Proposes Introduction of IDVTC Node Operator Type to Optimize Independent Staker Capital Efficiency

OBOL-0,65%
SSV7,05%

Gate News, March 16 — The Lido Community Staking Module (CSM) has released a new proposal to introduce “Identified DVT Cluster” (IDVTC) node operators. This proposal allows verified independent community stakers (ICS) to collaboratively operate validators using DVT (Distributed Validator Technology), enhancing operational resilience while optimizing capital efficiency. Because DVT significantly reduces the risk of slashing and downtime, IDVTC members will enjoy lower collateral requirements. The proposal requires each IDVTC cluster to consist of four independent ICS members, who must run validators using Obol or SSV and generate keys through Distributed Key Generation (DKG). This feature is expected to be launched in Q2 or Q3 of 2026 alongside CSM v3.
