On March 10, Pi Network announced that rewards will soon be distributed to community KYC verifiers, who are responsible for reviewing users’ identity information on the platform. According to the latest community update, the rewards are expected to be distributed by the end of March 2026. KYC verifiers play a crucial role in maintaining network security and ensuring genuine user participation. Currently, over 17 million users have completed identity verification on the Pi Network mainnet.
In the Pi ecosystem, KYC verifiers are community volunteers responsible for reviewing identity documents submitted by users applying to join the mainnet. This process, known as “Know Your Customer” (KYC) verification, aims to ensure each account corresponds to a real user, preventing duplicate accounts and fake registrations. Since Pi Network supports mobile mining, identity verification is an important part of network security and fair mining mechanisms.
Verifiers review users’ submitted identity documents and related information. Once approved, users can participate in applications and transactions within the mainnet ecosystem. As the scale of verification expands, Pi Network has now completed identity authentication for over 17 million users, a key indicator of the project’s ecosystem growth.
This reward distribution coincides with several key updates in Pi Network. According to official notices, node operators are required to complete the mandatory v20.2 node upgrade by March 12. This upgrade aims to improve network stability and optimize overall performance, providing a technical foundation for future ecosystem expansion.
Meanwhile, some community members speculate that decentralized trading features within the Pi ecosystem may be launched around the same time window. If these tools go live, users will be able to exchange digital assets within the Pi ecosystem, enhancing network application scenarios.
Pi Network states that the project now has over 50 million global users, and the development team continues to improve the open ecosystem. Node upgrades, verification rewards, and potential new features are seen as key steps to drive the network’s next phase of development. As March progresses into a critical period, community members are closely watching for subsequent announcements and technological updates that could bring changes to the ecosystem.
