Pointing to midnight on Tuesday, Trump said that widespread attacks on bridges and energy infrastructure in Iran are on the agenda. The U.S. leader suggested that a possible operation could be carried out within only a four-hour time window, saying, “All the bridges in Iran will be completely destroyed, and all power plants will be taken offline.”

Although Trump said that military options against Iran are under consideration, he also stated that he does not want to target infrastructure, adding, “I hope I won’t have to carry out an attack like that.” Even so, his remark that “If necessary, the entire country can be neutralized overnight” drew attention. The U.S. president also argued that the negotiations with Iran are “good-faith,” saying that the proposals on the table are an important step, but not enough. Trump reiterated that the deadline given to Iran will not be extended, and that Tuesday is the final deadline.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that military preparations are accelerating, adding that the most intense attacks on Iran will be carried out today and that these attacks will further increase the next day. Meanwhile, according to reports attributed to U.S. officials, the American military is continuing preparations—particularly for operations that could target Iran’s energy infrastructure.
