[The Ethereum wallet lost by Estonian banker Rain Lõhmus is now worth over $1 billion] Two years ago, Estonian banker Rain Lõhmus told Estonian Public Broadcasting that he had lost access to a large amount of Ether purchased during the pre-sale in 2014. Lõhmus said at the time: "I have a Wallet containing 250,000 Ether, and that's no secret; anyone can calculate its value themselves." As Ethereum briefly broke through $4,700 on Wednesday and surged back to 2021 highs, Lõhmus's lost holdings are now worth about $1.2 billion. This is nearly three times its value when Ethereum was trading at around $1,600 in October 2023. According to data from Arkham Intelligence, the wallet has not yet been used aside from a few small Ethereum transfers.

Bitcoin is hovering just under $121,000 after achieving its highest daily close yesterday above $120,000. This close above a key line was a desired bullish signal. The market anticipates that once this level is held, Bitcoin is likely to head back up towards its all-time high of around $123,000.
