Solana DePIN sector revenue hits new highs, outstanding performance in April
The Solana ecosystem's DePIN sector made significant progress in April, with monthly total revenue reaching $458,000, setting a new high for the year and growing by 33% year-on-year. This achievement is primarily due to the stable growth of several key projects.
Despite the impressive revenue growth, the number of active contributors has slightly decreased, with the main DePIN projects maintaining approximately 87,000 active contributors. Notably, the number of contributors for small DePIN protocols has significantly increased, with some projects seeing an increase of over 100%, while the number of contributors for large projects has remained stable or slightly declined.
Here is a review of the performance of several major DePIN projects in April:
Dabba Network
As a DePIN project exclusive to the Indian market, Dabba Network is committed to deploying Wi-Fi hotspots across India in collaboration with local cable operators. From March to April, its cumulative data consumption surged to 8000 TB, doubling its previous amount; during the same period, device sales increased by 29%, further expanding the network scale.
Helium Mobile
As a mobile virtual network operator, Helium Mobile saw a 125% increase in new subscription users after offering free mobile plans to all users, reaching a record high of 36,000 users. Revenue for the month grew by 34%, reaching a new high of $250,000, with data offloading accounting for as much as 79%.
It is worth mentioning that Helium Mobile's average daily uninstall subscription volume has increased by 65%, and the uninstall data volume has grown by 32%, both setting new historical records. However, since 2025, the total number of active contributors to Helium has shown a slight declining trend, currently stabilizing at around 75,000.
XNET
As a decentralized mobile network, XNET experienced a continuous growth in data offloading in April, with an average daily offloading amount increasing by 16%, continuing an upward trend for 8 consecutive months. Although rewards decreased by 6%, the number of active contributors still rose by 6%, reaching a record high of 732.
Roam
In April, Roam added 535,000 WiFi nodes and 87,000 new users, bringing the total number of nodes in the protocol close to 4 million and the number of users close to 3 million. Although the monthly user sign-in volume decreased by 19%, the total number of sign-ins has surpassed 300 million, indicating that user engagement remains strong.
Shaga
The Shaga protocol utilizes idle GPU computing power to support Web3 games, currently covering 74 GPU models. Within two months, Shaga achieved 4,500 interactive game live broadcasts, with a total duration of 50,000 hours, allowing viewers to participate in the streamer's games in real time.
Hivello
As a DePIN aggregation platform, Hivello's online duration in April doubled compared to March, with more nodes joining to contribute to the network.
Nosana
Nosana focuses on providing a distributed computing power market for AI inference workloads. In April, its job completion volume and contributor rewards saw a slight increase, while GPU nodes remained stable. The newly launched Gaianet AI collaboration project is expected to drive job growth.
Sallar.io
Sallar supports high-performance computing needs by connecting the idle computing power of devices such as smartphones to the network. In April, the dollar rewards increased to $11,800, a month-on-month rise of 27%, while the number of active wallets remained stable.
Grass
Grass provides a source of data for AI training, data scraping, and proxy services through the idle internet bandwidth of user devices. In April, the data collection volume reached a new historical high of 34.5 million GB.
Wingbits
Wingbits collects aircraft data through ADS-B hardware deployed by global users. Since November 2024, the number of flights tracked online has increased to 150,000, and the daily collected data points have risen to 9 billion, representing increases of 7% and 29%, respectively; the number of contributing sites has also increased by 43%, reaching 3,000.
Hivemapper
Hivemapper is a decentralized mapping network, and the monthly mapping mileage in April remained stable. Its AI-driven platform Beekeeper, aimed at fleet management, officially launched this month, bringing new momentum for future growth. Since February, the number of active map contributors has stabilized at around 5,000.
NATIX Network
NATIX Network is committed to collecting street view and geographic data through smartphones and dedicated devices. In April, user-driven mileage has maintained at 11 million kilometers for the third consecutive month.
Sourceful Energy
Sourceful Energy centers around decentralized virtual power plants, connecting distributed energy resources. In April, power output increased by 30%, and the newly launched Zap smart energy efficiency analysis device received 500 pre-orders, with growth expected to continue.
AmbiosNetwork
AmbiosNetwork has built the largest-scale environmental monitoring DePIN in the world. In April, the cumulative user ecological data check-ins exceeded 2 million, with a 12% increase in ecological data check-ins; the total number of platform users has increased to 45,000, a year-on-year growth of 2%.
