Global family offices are increasing their investments in private equity and encryption assets, gradually reducing their dependence on the stock market.
According to the "2025 Single Family Office Investment Insight Report" released by BNY Wealth, two-thirds of the global family offices with assets under management of more than US$1 billion plan to increase their allocation to private equity funds this year, an increase of nearly 70% from 2024. At the same time, equities fell to 19% of these institutional investable assets, an annual decline of 28%. The report also notes that family offices are also exploring allocations to crypto assets to diversify their portfolios.
