According to reports, the Japanese government plans to revise the “Three Principles on the Transfer of Defense Equipment” and its implementation guidelines in the near future, easing restrictions on Japan’s overseas arms exports. During a routine press conference on April 7, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning responded to questions about this, stating that China is seriously concerned. Mao Ning said that all signs indicate that Japanese right-wing forces are pushing security policies toward an offensive and expansionist direction. Japan’s accelerated “re-militarization” is a fact and reality, with concrete routes and actions, threatening regional peace and stability. The international community must remain highly vigilant and resolutely oppose Japan’s “new militarist” ambitions. “We urge Japan to deeply reflect on its militarist invasion history, adhere to commitments and act prudently in the field of military security, and not continue down the wrong path.” (Beijing News)
