Armed conflict occurs on the Sudan border, resulting in 17 deaths.

On the 18th local time, intense armed clashes occurred along the border between Sudan and Chad, resulting in at least 17 deaths and 123 injuries. The Sudanese military stated that the conflict was triggered by the expansion of attacks on the Tina military zone along the Sudan border by the Rapid Support Forces, and the related attacks have been repelled by the military. The conflict between Sudanese parties has continued since April 2023, and UN data shows that the conflict has caused over 40k deaths. (CCTV News)
