On April 7th, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a routine press conference. A reporter asked about the current situation in the Middle East. Mao Ning stated that the common wish of the international community is to achieve an immediate ceasefire and end the fighting, and to restart dialogue. China welcomes all efforts conducive to peace, supports Pakistan’s active mediation efforts, hopes relevant parties seize the opportunity for peace, bridge differences through dialogue, and bring the war to an early end.
