Alibaba Cloud Baolian launches the "Memory Bank" feature, enabling AI Agents to achieve long-term cross-session memory
AIMPACT message, April 9: Alibaba Cloud’s Baixiaolian platform officially launched the “Memory Database” feature, giving AI Agents cross-session long-term memory capabilities. It is currently open for limited-time free access, and supports API calls and third-party tool integrations.
The system is built on four major modules: “extraction—storage—retrieval—injection.” After a conversation ends, it can automatically extract key information and store it. By using semantic search to dynamically call historical memories, it enables a more personalized interaction experience.
In terms of feature design:
Provide a white-box configuration and preset rules to lower the development barrier, adapting to multiple scenarios such as customer service and consumer electronics
Introduce a dynamic memory governance mechanism that supports automatic updates, conflict filtering, and forgetting strategies
Optimize the retrieval algorithm, reducing the average response time by 50%, with a significant improvement in relevance and accuracy
In addition, this feature has already supported integration with Agent tools such as OpenClaw. It also offers enterprises a configurable, traceable long-term memory infrastructure, further driving AI applications toward the evolution of “personalized intelligent agents.” (Source: Alibaba Cloud)
