ME News updates: On April 5 (UTC+8), the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards’ Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Abdollah, responded on April 4 to the “48-hour” ultimatum issued by U.S. President Trump. He emphasized that Iran’s military would firmly defend national rights and protect national assets, and make the aggressors pay. That evening, Iran’s Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported that Abdollah said Trump, after a string of failures, carried out “helpless, panicked, unbalanced, and stupid” actions in an attempt to threaten Iran’s infrastructure and national assets. Abdollah stressed that if the United States and Israel launched such attacks, “we will launch continuous and devastating strikes, without restrictions, against all infrastructure used by U.S. forces and Israel’s infrastructure.” He reminded the U.S. and Israel that since the war imposed on Iran began, “what we said has already been put into action.” (Source: ODAILY)
