Nasdaq has submitted a rule change to extend the transition period for BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) and iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) from the original first quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2026, allowing the sponsor BlackRock more time to complete the transition. The change was filed on March 31, 2026, and is effective immediately.
