ME News message, April 8 (UTC+8): Standard Chartered Bank is seeking to fully merge some of the businesses of Zodia Custody Ltd., in which it holds controlling stakes, with one of its digital asset businesses. The lender plans to integrate Zodia’s cryptocurrency custody business into its divisions that provide similar services within its corporate and investment banking operations. Insiders say an announcement regarding the planned restructuring may be released within this month. Under the plan that Standard Chartered Bank is considering, Zodia Custody will continue to operate as an independent crypto asset custody software-as-a-service company. (Source: Foresight News)
