On April 6th, reports emerged that the US and Iran are discussing a 45-day ceasefire, leading to a rapid compression of geopolitical risk premiums and a rebound in global market risk appetite. Bitcoin soared from $68,800-$69,000 to $71,000-$72,500 within hours, with an intraday increase of approximately 4.5%-6%, and the total market capitalization expanded by over $120 billion in a single day. This rally was clearly driven by short squeeze dynamics: about $70 million in short positions were liquidated, with short liquidations roughly three times the long liquidations, creating artificial upward momentum. 24-hour trading volume surpassed $110 billion, Bitcoin’s dominance remained stable, and funds flowed into altcoins, indicating a general market confidence rebound.

However, on a deeper level, this rebound is a liquidity event caused by “uncertainty compression,” not the end of the conflict. Bitcoin remains in a war-driven range of $65,000-$73,000 and has not yet stabilized above the macro confirmation level of $75,000. Liquidity above this level is thin, making the rally fragile. Any breakdown in ceasefire negotiations or negative headlines could trigger long liquidations and reversals. The current market pricing reflects a reduction in risk rather than the resolution of risk. Conclusion: this is a rapid, liquidity-driven short squeeze, and confirmation of a trend reversal requires sustained buying and spot volume follow-through. #Gate广场四月发帖挑战
