People's Financial News, April 7 — On April 7, China’s deepest offshore wind power project — the Huaneng Shandong Peninsula North L Site Offshore Wind Power Project — achieved full capacity grid connection and power generation, marking a new breakthrough in China’s offshore wind power in deep-sea complex environments and large-capacity turbine integration. The project site is approximately 70 kilometers offshore, with water depths of 52 to 56 meters. It has installed 42 units of 12 MW wind turbines, with a total installed capacity of 504 MW. The project’s annual power generation is about 1.7 billion kWh, which can save approximately 500k tons of standard coal annually. (People’s Daily)
