Really powerful people all "show weakness"
Many people spend their entire lives pursuing dominance: speaking to overpower others, acting with sharpness, insisting on winning and saving face, thinking that this is strength.
But the more aggressive someone is, the more likely they are to be countered;
The more they try to control everything, the easier they are to lose control.
Conversely, those who appear gentle, modest, and non-competitive often walk the most stable and farthest.
This is not a coincidence, but an ancient truth revealed by Laozi: The movement of the Dao is in opposition; the weak are the use of the Dao.
When all things develop to their extreme, they inevitably turn to the opposite;
And where the Dao truly manifests,
It is never in brute force, but in gentle strength.
Here, "weak" does not mean cowardice or incompetence, nor silent endurance, but a high-level strategy for dealing with the world:
• Not showy, so as not to invite trouble;
• Not sharp, so as not to break easily;
• Not impatient, so as to see clearly;
• Not rigid, so as to last long.
Truly skilled people understand how to hide their edge and keep their humility.
Gentle on the outside, measured on the inside;
Humble in dealings, with a clear understanding in their heart.
Hardness is fragile, softness endures.
Showing weakness is not losing, but going with the flow;
Being low-key is not weakness, but using the Dao.
