Mars Finance news: On April 8, strategists at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia believe that the U.S.-Iran conflict may end in May rather than in June, as previously expected. Although the ceasefire has not brought the fighting to an end, analysts view it as the beginning of the end. In a report, an analyst said that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz indicates that the peace agreement is making tangible progress. He added that although the plans proposed by the United States and Iran appear to be seriously incompatible, reaching a ceasefire shows that—given that Iran’s strategic leverage has not been significantly reduced and that the U.S.’s allies still are unwilling to provide assistance—the United States is open to compromise on a tentative basis. He added that the economic consequences of the war are continuing to build up; if negotiations collapse due to political constraints, the market will react strongly and negatively. (Jin Ten)
