What are the current era dividends?

When your money is enough to support you without having to work a set schedule, you can experience the benefits of big cities.
Since returning to China in mid-February, it’s been absolutely incredible. Work out at noon, read in the afternoon, and ride out to go on a shopping spree at Auchan—low prices and great quality.
If I’m not in a good mood, I’ll take a train ticket to Hangzhou, tour West Lake during the middle of the week, and visit Lingyin. I watch the river scenery in Qianjiang New Town and eat Taizhou dishes.
This week, I’m meeting about 2 new friends—one American and one Russian. On Thursday and Friday, we’ll each go out for a city walk, and in the evening we’ll also have a meal together.
We chat about everything under the sun and beyond. Next week, I’ll go to Suzhou to pay my respects to my grandpa and grandma, and I’ll also stay in Suzhou for 2 days to wander around.
Then I’ll go again to Wuxi and Yixing to see friends. Anyway, the low cost of living, the excellent service, and the dividends brought by major infrastructure projects—these are things you can only enjoy after you’ve left your job full-time.
In 2026, it’s a year for me to take a break from work and reset; and the era dividends in China right now are truly something I’ve been able to enjoy.
