Change in Stocks | Falling oil prices boost airline stocks, China Eastern Airlines once rose 13%

The U.S. and Iran agreed to a temporary ceasefire for two weeks; oil stocks plunged by more than 10%. Airline stocks saw a rush of buying, including China Eastern Airlines (00670), which rose 13% at one point and reached a high of HK$4.21.

As of 10:45 a.m., China Eastern was up 8.3%, trading at HK$4.03; China Southern Airlines (01055) was up 6.4%, at HK$4.31; Air China (00753) was up 6%, at HK$5.09; Cathay Pacific (00293) was up 3.8%, at HK$11.84.

NYMEX crude oil futures were last at $96.65 per barrel, down $16.31, or 14.44%; London Brent crude was at $95.72 per barrel, down $13.55, or 12.37%.
