Abstract generation in progress

On April 8, regarding the recent latest achievements in China’s sodium battery sector—“polymerizable nonflammable electrolyte (hereinafter referred to as PNE)”—and its landing applications, CnHZN Ha’natrium (Zhongke Hainai Sodium) responded to The Interface News. At present, the timeline for introducing this technology into large-scale production cannot be confirmed. The company is advancing related work, and in the future, the technology will be prioritized for deployment in scenarios such as electric bicycles. Zhongke Hainai Sodium also noted that the material cost of PNE is basically on par with the currently mainstream carbonate-based electrolyte systems, and that the process is compatible with existing cell production lines, so it will not bring additional manufacturing cost pressure. Zhongke Hainai Sodium further stated that the PNE technology achieves a complete shutdown of thermal runaway in ampere-hour-level sodium-ion batteries; it not only provides guidance for future technology R&D, but also lays a foundation for commercial applications with large-scale, high-safety requirements, such as energy storage and heavy-duty trucks. Based on feedback from downstream customers, this technological breakthrough has strengthened customers’ confidence in sodium-based solutions. (The Interface News)
