A-shares closing review: Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.26%, Shenzhen Component Index increased 0.36%, concepts such as organosilicon, glyphosate, and PTA performed strongly.

April 7, the three major A-share indexes all rose. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.26%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.36%, and the ChiNext Index rose 0.36%; the BeiJing 50 fell 0.34%. The total trading value on the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was about 1.61T yuan, down about 42.11B yuan from the previous trading day. In the whole market, 3,977 stocks rose, 1,426 stocks fell, including 101 hitting the daily limit up and 18 hitting the daily limit down.

In terms of sectors, industries and themes such as organic silicon, glyphosate, PTA, basic chemicals, petroleum and petrochemicals, and agriculture and animal husbandry, among others, led in gains. Industries and themes such as two-wheelers, the China Electronics Technology Group (CETC) sector, heavy trucks, banks, precious metals, and IT services, among others, led in declines.
