The Animal Health sector performed strongly, with the Agriculture ETF Franklin (159825) rising over 2.5%.
On April 7, sectors such as animal healthcare, the chicken industry, and the pig industry in A-shares delivered strong performance, driving the Fullgoal Agricultural ETF (159825) to rise more than 2.5%. As of the time of publication, the latest gain was 1.46%.
Among the constituent stocks of the benchmark index, China Animal Husbandry and Herding Co., Ltd. (Mudan) hit the 10CM limit-up, while around nine-tenths of the constituent stocks were up in the green, including Juxing Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, COFCO Technology, Reebup Bio, and Yangnong Chemical, among others.
Research institutions pointed out that under retaliatory tariff measures, the agricultural planting industry chain is a scarce segment and a directly benefiting sector. The tariff storm has once again highlighted the extreme importance of food security. Independent and controllable sources of germplasm have become a top priority for safeguarding national food security, and the seed industry and grain planting sectors may receive strong policy support again.
Investors may consider paying appropriate attention to the Fullgoal Agricultural ETF (159825) and its feeder fund (A share class 015878 / C share class 015879). This product tracks the CSI Agricultural Theme Index, covering the entire agricultural industrial chain, including multiple segments such as upstream agricultural inputs (fertilizers, pesticides), midstream breeding (hog, poultry), and downstream circulation services, among others.
