International Maritime Organization: The situation in the Strait of Hormuz has left approximately 20k sailors stranded at sea.

On March 18 local time, the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization, Domingos, said at a special meeting of the 36th session of the IMO Council that the military strikes launched by Israel and the United States against Iran have led to multiple security incidents in the Strait of Hormuz. So far, 7 seafarers have been killed, and about 20k seafarers are stranded at sea in the waters of the Persian Gulf. Domingos urged all parties attending the meeting to propose constructive measures to address the current situation and help ensure the safety of maritime shipping. (CCTV News)
