Asia Stocks Trend | Japanese Stocks Rise After Surge, Close Up by 15 Points

U.S. President Trump’s deadline for Iran is nearing, and stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region hold steady.

After surging, Japan’s stock market gave back some ground. The Nikkei Average rose to a high of 53,916 points, up 502 points, but then turned lower and fell, once dipping to 53,156 points, down 256 points. For the full day, it closed at 53,429 points, up 15 points or 0.03%.

South Korea’s stock market rose. South Korea’s Kospi Composite Index closed at 5,494 points, up 44 points, or 0.82%.

Taiwan’s stock market resumed after the holiday. The Taiwan Weighted Index closed at 33,229 points, up 657 points, or 2.02%.

Australian stocks finished higher. Australia’s All Ordinaries Index closed at 8,921 points, up 146 points, or 1.67%.
