The Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence announced yesterday the review results for the 2025 Wu Wenjun Award for Science and Technology in Artificial Intelligence. Today, the University of Science and Technology of China published a statement announcing that Professor Ren Shaoqing of USTC, together with Li Bin, the founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO, were designated as the principal contributors for the research achievement “Key Technologies and Industrial Applications for Spatiotemporal Cognition from Visual Understanding to World Models,” which was jointly completed with NIO Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd. The project won the first prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award. Note: This award was established with approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology and is organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. It is named after Academician Wu Wenjun, a pioneer in China’s intelligent science field, and represents the highest honor in China’s artificial intelligence sector.
