Chairman Ren Yu of China Aviation Materials Group meets with Guillaume Faury, CEO of Airbus Commercial Aircraft
On the afternoon of February 27, Ren Yu, Chairman of AVIC Aircraft Materials Group, met with Airbus’ delegation led by Fabrice Wagner, CEO of Airbus’ Commercial Aircraft division, at the group headquarters. First, Ren Yu welcomed the Wagner delegation’s visit to AVIC Aircraft Materials Group, affirmed the cooperation between Airbus and AVIC Aircraft Materials Group across various fields over the past many years, and congratulated Airbus on its strong operating performance and market sales results in recent years. He noted that over the past year, both sides have worked closely together to drive key projects to landing and effective results. In the face of complex international conditions and supply-chain challenges, China-EU cooperation has remained stable and trending in a positive direction. With its high-quality products and services, Airbus provides solid support for the development of China’s civil aviation. He hoped that Airbus will take a long-term view, continue to place importance on the China market, and while consolidating aircraft procurement cooperation, further deepen supply-chain service assurance, helping jointly to advance the high-quality development of China’s civil aviation.
Wagner said that Airbus attaches great importance to its long-term partnership with AVIC Aircraft Materials Group, and expressed sincere thanks for AVIC Aircraft Materials Group’s trust and support over the years. As one of the world’s most important civil aviation markets, China has always been a key direction in Airbus’ strategic layout. In the future, Airbus is willing to continue strengthening support for the development of China’s civil aviation in areas such as additional deliveries of new aircraft and replacement of older aircraft, and further promote deep cooperation across every link of the supply chain. Airbus expects to continue enhancing communication and collaboration with AVIC Aircraft Materials Group, keep expanding the areas of cooperation, deepen the substance of cooperation, and jointly contribute greater strength to the high-quality development of China’s civil aviation.
