Starbucks completes joint venture deal with Boyu Investment

Gelonghui, April 3|Starbucks has completed its joint venture deal with Boyu Investment, selling 60% equity in its China retail business. Starbucks will retain 40% equity in its China retail business. The joint venture will be responsible for managing approximately 8,000 self-operated coffee stores owned by companies. Starbucks will serve as the owner and licensor of the global brand. Starbucks and Boyu will enter the operating phase of the joint venture.
