The first-instance verdict announced for Tan Ruisong, former Party Secretary and Chairman of China Aviation Industry Corporation Limited, on charges of embezzlement, bribery, insider trading, and leaking insider information.
On March 25, 2026, the Intermediate People’s Court of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, issued a first-instance public verdict in a case involving former Party Secretary and Chairman of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd., Tan Ruisong, on charges of embezzlement, bribery, insider trading, and disclosing insider information. Tan Ruisong was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment for embezzlement, and a fine of RMB 5,000,000; sentenced to death for bribery, with a two-year suspension of execution, deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of all personal property; for insider trading and the crime of disclosing insider information, sentenced to 6 years’ imprisonment and a fine, with the death penalty carried out with a two-year suspension, deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of all personal property. For the embezzlement, the proceeds of the crime were ordered to be returned to the victim unit; for the bribery proceeds and their interests, they were to be confiscated and recovered according to law, remitted to the state treasury, and further recovered for illegal proceeds from the insider trading offense.
