CoinJie.com news: According to CoinDesk, U.S. President Trump removed Attorney General Pam Bondi from her post, appointing her former private attorney and current Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche as acting Attorney General. Blanche previously represented Trump in New York criminal cases. After taking office as Deputy Attorney General, he ordered the dissolution of the Department of Justice’s National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team and signed a memorandum directing prosecutors to no longer pursue regulatory-violation cases in the cryptocurrency industry. According to disclosed documents, when Blanche signed the enforcement memorandum, he still held various cryptocurrencies worth approximately $159,000 to $485,000, including Bitcoin, Solana, Cardano, Ethereum, Polygon, Polkadot, Quant, as well as Coinbase stock, violating the ethics rules and his earlier pledge to divest assets before handling matters related to cryptocurrency.
