U.S. CFTC and Department of Justice sue Illinois, claiming it lacks authority to regulate prediction markets

Mars Finance reports that on April 2, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a lawsuit against Illinois, the governor, and the attorney general, alleging that they attempted to regulate prediction markets beyond their authority and that the actions were invalid.
