Recently, the Tengqiao Police Station of the Lucheng Public Security Branch received an emergency anti-fraud alert from the anti-fraud center. The app suddenly displayed a message claiming that he was “suspected of insider trading,” and that a case had been filed for investigation. It demanded that he immediately pay a 100,000-yuan deposit to hedge and clear himself of suspicion. The sudden “accusation” caused Li to panic. He believed it completely and hurried to the bank to withdraw 100,000 yuan, planning to hand it over to the other party to “prove his innocence.”
