I just saw the collaboration between Uber, Uber Eats, and the Hongdao Foundation—really interesting. Taiwan's population is aging so quickly, and they’ve introduced a meal donation program where users can input a code to get a discount, and each order also donates 20 NT dollars to Hongdao. According to their data, the most ordered items by seniors on delivery apps are surprisingly breakfast and Taiwanese cuisine. Seniors in New Taipei especially love healthy dishes. It seems like older adults are also adapting to new technology.

On the other hand, Uber is approaching from a mobility perspective. The places seniors visit most are hospitals and their homes, so they offer ride discounts to help elderly living alone get medical care and return home. These seemingly small services actually address seniors’ most practical needs—whether it’s nutrition, mobility, or assistance tools like walking carts—making life more convenient for them. They already donated over 1 million NT dollars in ride fares last year and plan to continue supporting this year. It’s very meaningful. Do your parents or grandparents use these services?
