The U.S. launches a 337 investigation against Hisense and other companies

On April 2, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) announced that it has voted to initiate a “337 investigation” into certain display devices, streaming media players, and their components. Companies subject to the investigation include multiple companies under Hisense, as well as Roku (Roku, Inc.), a company based in the United States that operates smart TVs and streaming media platforms, and Purple Tag Media Technology, with companies in Shanghai and Guangdong in China, and in Mexico.
